Summary Trouble opening the right template
Description CMS used (WordPress, Joomla, etc.): WordPress

Before I download the latest version 2.4 I have created templates that sometimes I have to edit or I use as the basis for the creation of other templates.
In this case, it is normal to expect that Alert box attached says “The project was created with older versions of Artisteer and it will open in compatibility mode.”
But when I create (ex-novo) a new template in the current version (2.4.0.25435 Standard Edition) and then I reopen the same template I do not understand why it turns out again the same dialog alert.

But what is more serious is when I load the template on which I worked for so long (as the two attached) Artisteer shows me the template by default and no the template I worked.I am very concerned.
For example I am attaching two of a new model one based on an old template: iulia_310310.artx and one created just now for you porva_1702_100412.artx that until recently was opening right well but at the second reopen Artisteer show me the default template.
Please help me.

Are you able to reproduce this problem? Could you please help us investigate it by following the steps below:

1.
Install this new Artisteer update:
http://www.artisteer.com/media/p4/files/Artisteer.2.4.0.26277.exe

2.
Download the following file:
http://www.artisteer.com/support/Artisteer2_Logging.zip

3.
Unzip the archive and execute Artisteer2_EnableLogging.reg

4.
Run Artisteer, create a new project and save it to reproduce the problem.

5.
Provide/attach Artisteer.log file that will be created in Windows temporary folder (can be accessed by typing %temp% in Start > Run).

Response It’s a bit hard to do what you request.
But I’ll try it!For now, waiting your help, I installed in this computer the version Artisteer.2.1.0.16090 and on another computer the last version Artisteer.2.4.0.25435.
The problem is disappeared in the two computer, but I must work or edit each project with its proper version.
I hope I’ve been clear.

Response I execute what you wrote in the previous message.
I register all the action I made.
At the end of the work the system and I are completely drunk without drinking anything.
This is the history:
16.19 15/04/2010 I Install version Artisteer.2.4.0.26277.exe
16.24 15/04/2010 Unzip the archive and execute Artisteer2_EnableLogging.reg
16.25 15/04/2010 Run Artisteer, create a new project and save it to reproduce the problem.
16.25 15/04/2010 I open the project prova_1501, appear the alert, the project open correctly.
16.29 15/04/2010 I open project amarconi_091204_v4, appear the alert, the project open correctly.
16.31 15/04/2010 I open iulia_310310, appear the alert, the project doesn’t open correctly, but this is a corrupt project and is not important.
16.33 15/04/2010 Now create a new template iulia_310310, I call iulia_140310.
I Close and reopen, and the project is gone, it opens the default page.
16.42 15/04/2010 I repeat again, save the images julia_140310_v2 at the end or creation.
Now I close the program completly ed open it again: Artisteer open the default file julia_140310_v2_default.jpg.
16.54 15/04/2010 Now I open an old project and edit it.
The images I attached are alessio_copia_beforedit.jpg and alessio_copia_afteredit.jpg, when I reopen the project it appear the default.jpg
At the end of the story doesn’t match anything and I’m quite confused.
17.05 15/04/2010 I save the file Artisteer.log

Our developers need some additional information from your end.

Could you please:

1.
Take a screenshot of your Artisteer Activation dialog.

2.
Open registry editor, navigate to the Artisteer folder:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Extensoft\Artisteer\2

right-click and export it as .reg files.

3.
Zip and attach both the screenshot (made on step #1) and .reg file (step #2) to this ticket for further analysis.

I installed the version you suggested, and all goes perfectly.
Every problems is Disappeared.
Compliment to the developpers!
I’m glad that my collaboration has enabled the developpers to solve this problem that at times seemed to me very hard to solve.
